Hannah Höch was a German Dada artist best known as one of the creators of photomontage. As one of the only accepted female members of the Berlin Dada group, she became acutely cognizant of gender inequality in media and art, and her work tackled themes of women’s rights, marriage and domesticity, later depicting images that pieced male and female identities together.
