grupul F.I.A. (fete/femei/feminism in actiune/activism), format in 2008 din fostul colectiv ladyfest-ro, se axeaza pe diverse initiative anti-sexiste in romania. o parte importanta din misiunea grupului consta atat din colaborarea si conlucrarea cu alte grupuri si persoane, cat si sustinerea altor initiative, pe teme de justitie sociala, inclusiv de gen. proiectele noastre principale sunt o bibilioteca “mobila” de zine, carti si alte materiale feministe si site-ul si blogul f.i.a..

the F.I.A. (women/girls/feminism in action/activism) group, formed in 2008 from the former ladyfest-ro collective, focuses on various anti-sexist initiatives in romania. an important part of the group’s mission is collaborating and working together with other groups and people, as well as supporting other initiatives, that deal with social justice, including gender justice. our main projects are a “travelling” library of zines, books and other feminist materials, and the f.i.a. site and blog.

      ce este ladyfest romania, cine dorim sa fim?
      un grup de fete si femei dedicat organizarii festivalului ladyfest in romania. prima editie a avut loc la timisoara in mai 2005 iar acum ne pregatim pt. a doua editie ce va avea loc la bucuresti in octombrie 2007. ca si in 2005, prin festivalul nostru urmarim sa punem in evidenta expresia artistica si implicarea sociala a fetelor si femeilor si in acelasi timp sa impartasim idei prin muzica, “spoken word”, “performance”, film si video, expozitii, prezentari, ateliere, discutii si actiuni.

      a group of girls and women dedicated to organizing the ladyfest festival in romania. the first edition took place in may 2005 in timisoara and now we are working towards the second edition which will take place in october 2007 in bucharest. as in 2005, our festival aims to both showcase the artistic expression and social involvement of women and girls and share ideas through music, spoken word, performance, film and video, exhibitions, presentations, workshops, open discussion, and actions.
